7050 Aluminum Sheet is a high-strength heat-treatable alloy with high strength and resistance to exfoliation corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. It is often used in aircraft structural parts for medium and thick plate extrusions, free forgings and die forgings. The requirements for alloys in manufacturing such parts are: strong resistance to exfoliation corrosion and stress corrosion cracking, fracture toughness and fatigue resistance.
