Duplex 2205 Stainless Steel Coil
Duplex 2205 Stainless Steel Coil is a nitrogen-enhanced duplex stainless steel that was developed to combat common corrosion problems encountered with the 300 series stainless steels.
Duplex 2205 Stainless Steel Coil contains molybdenum, chromium, and nitrogen. The addition of molybdenum provides resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. Chromium improves the corrosion resistance in sulfate environments, whereas nitrogen enhances its resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
