G30 Galvanized sheet
G30 Galvanized sheet refers to the coating weight of hot-dip galvanised steel coils, specifying a total coating weight of 0.3 ounces per square foot (oz/ft²) or approximately 92 grams per square metre. Coating weight is a measure of the zinc content of the steel surface during the galvanising process.
G30 galvanized steel is a GI steel grade in ASTM A653. G30 refers to a coating weight of 0.30 oz/ft². The coating weight of coated steel determines its corrosion resistance and application. G30 galvanized steel has a relatively thin zinc coating and is suitable for indoor or dry environments.

G30 Galvanized Steel Properties and Application
GI steel is a combination of zinc and mild steel that is hot-dipped galvanized to form a protective coating of zinc on the steel surface. In ASTM A653, G30 hot-dip galvanized steel has a zinc coating weight of 0.3 ounces per square foot, making the zinc coating only 0.3 ounces in weight, making it suitable for use in less corrosive environments.
Application
- Paint to make prepainted galvanized steel.
- Processed into indoor metal furniture: table frames, bookshelves, chair frames, etc.
- Used for steel structures in a general environment: small support frames and brackets, light steel structure supports for factories and warehouses, roof skeletons, etc.
- Used in the production of household appliances, automobile interior panels, etc.
- Roof and wall panels, doors, and windows for buildings in mild climates.
