Production process of 6061 seamless cold-drawn aluminum tube

  • Raw material preparation: Select high-quality aluminum alloy ingots.
  • Billet heating: Heat the ingot to 480°C to 520°C.
  • Extrusion molding: Extrude the heated aluminum ingot into aluminum tube blanks through an extruder.
  • Cooling: Quickly cool the aluminum tube blanks by water cooling or air cooling.
  • Cold drawing: The cooled aluminum tube blanks are cold drawn through a cold drawing machine to gradually reduce their diameter and improve their precision.
  • Heat treatment: The aluminum tube, after cold drawing, is subjected to T6 heat treatment (quenching and aging treatment).
  • Straightening and cutting: The heat-treated aluminum tube is straightened and cut into the required length.
  • Surface treatment: Surface treatment, such as anodizing, is performed as required.
  • Inspection and testing: Dimension, surface quality, and mechanical properties are tested.
  • Finished product packaging: Packaging and storage are performed according to specification requirements.
