5052 Aluminum Strip
5052 is alloyed with 2.5% magnesium. Tensile strength range is 31 to 44 KSI. 5052 has excellent workability, weldability and corrosion resisitance.
5052 is the aluminum alloy most suited to forming operations, with good workability and higher strength than that of either 1100 or 3003. 5052 is not heat-treatable, but is stronger than most of the 5xxx series of aluminum. It has very good corrosion resistance and can be easily welded as well.

5052 aluminum has excellent workability and can be easily drawn into different shapes.5052 aluminum has excellent workability, high strength, and can be drawn very quickly into different shapes. On the other hand, it is an aluminum alloy that is not easily machined and is not heat treatable. 5052 aluminum also happens to be the strongest non-heat-treatable sheet and plate in common use. Not only is 5052 easy to weld and highly resistant to corrosion, but it is also tough and strong. It has good drawability and a high work hardening rate. Its overall versatility, not to mention excellent value, makes it one of the most available alloys.
