Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Pipe
Hot-dip galvanized steel pipe in the installation to the steel parts are first pickled, to remove the iron oxide skin on the surface of the steel parts, after pickling, but also through the ammonium chloride or zinc chloride aqueous solution or a mixture of ammonium chloride and zinc chloride aqueous solution to clean, and then sent to the hot-dip plating tank. Hot-dip galvanizing has the advantages of uniform coating, strong adhesion, and long service life. Hot-dip galvanized steel pipe allows the molten metal and iron substrate chemical reaction, producing an alloy layer, so that the substrate and the plating are combined. The zinc layer of hot-dip galvanized steel pipe is thicker, with a thickness of 10um or more, and the surface is glossy but rough, and will appear shiny.
Hot-dip galvanized steel tubes (HDG) are dipped in a protective zinc or zinc coating to prevent corrosion and rust. In addition, three main colors are available: BS-S in yellow, BS-M in blue, BS-H in red, and special types in green.
Hot-dip galvanized pipes are galvanized on round steel pipes. Starting from hot rolled coils, the tubes are slit, formed, and dipped into a galvanizing bath containing at least 98.5% pure molten zinc. The bath temperature is maintained at about 450°C. In general, the thickness of the galvanized layer is at least 320 g/m² and will increase depending on the thickness of the metal (base material).
The specifications for hot-dip galvanized steel pipes include resistance to atmospheric corrosion and rust, electrochemical and physical protection. This steel pipe is widely used in a variety of applications where advanced corrosion protection is required, such as outdoor offshore pipelines, irrigation pipelines, water supply trunking, and electrical applications. It is also used for planter hangers in nurseries and for structural molding projects that require high durability, ease of installation, and rust resistance.
